Treibball is an exciting fun, safe, and new dog sport that began in Germany. The goal is for the person and the dog to work as a team. Using positive reinforcement, the handler directs the dog from a distance around a set of balls to push them into a goal one by one. If you have an energetic dog that is ball-focused, has a herding drive, or simply enjoys having a job to do, Treibball is for you! This class explores the basics of “ball driving” and you will develop the foundational skills: targeting, impulse control, balance, and mental stimulation.
Requirements: Treibball is an off-leash activity, so, ideally, your dog will have a reliable recall and respond well to basic cues from a distance.
